Connecting to Community – Lifesaving

DID SOMEONE SAY, ‘LIFE’S A BEACH?’

With support from Aquatic Tutoring Australia and Coffs Harbour Surf Club ten members of our RISE ambassador group joined Woolgoolga, Coffs Harbour and Sawtell lifesaving clubs today, 2nd October 2021.

This group will potentially grow to fourteen in number. Participants will complete their Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion.

An intensive course will be undetaken over two weekends; culminating in a half day assessment. The successful candidates will be patrolling our local beaches by the end of October.

Swimming, board paddling, first aid and signals will be a part of the lifesaving curriculum offered to each individual.

RISE would like to acknowledge the participants who have decided to join their local surf club. They will be helping protect beach goers in their community.
